Tired of being tired?

Did you know that more than half of women report feeling emotionally and physically depleted—but very few feel they have permission to truly rest? So many still feel they must keep going, keep doing, keep holding it all together.

I created this retreat because I know what it feels like to crave rest and stillness but not know how to find it. I’ve been the woman who felt exhausted, overwhelmed but didn’t know how to stop. This is the space I longed for—and now I’m opening it to you.

This retreat is your invitation to slow down, soften, and come home to yourself.

A gentle pause in the sacred stillness of Southwest France.
No pressure. No performance. Just time to breathe, soften, and come home to yourself.

If life has felt like too much lately—too fast, too loud, too demanding—this retreat is your invitation to exhale. Nestled in the peaceful surroundings of La Commanderie, you'll step away from the noise and reconnect with the quiet wisdom within. Here, there's nothing to prove and nowhere to rush. Just space to soften, breathe, and return to yourself. Whether you're craving deep rest, clarity, or simply time to be, this is your sanctuary to slow down and remember what truly matters.

Slow down. Breathe deeply. Let go.

This summer, step into a space where time slows, nature holds you, and rest is not a luxury—it’s a way of being. At La Commanderie, you’re invited to take a break from the noise of everyday life and settle into a slower rhythm.

There’s no strict schedule, no long list of activities—just the freedom to rest, explore, and reconnect in your own way.

What You’ll Take Home

  • deep sense of rest—not just physical relaxation, but soul-deep restoration

  • A renewed connection to your inner rhythm and what truly matters to you

  • Tools for slowing down, listening inward, and honoring your needs

  • A sense of clarity about what you’re ready to let go of and what you want to invite in

  • A more peaceful relationship with stillness and spaciousness

  • The permission to rest—without guilt

  • Gentle practices you can return to anytime: meditation, mindful movement, simple rituals

A feeling of being held, seen, and nourished—by nature, by the space, and perhaps by yourself for the first time in a while.

What You’ll Experience

  • Gentle Morning Yoga, Meditation & Pranayama Practices – Awakening the body with mindful movement

  • Gentle yoga like yin, restorative and yoga nidra to soothe the nervous system and restore your natural rhythm

  • Deep Rest Ritual – Deep relaxation to restore your energy

  • Self Care Rituals & Ceremonies – Honoring renewal and letting go

  • The Art of Doing Nothing – A rare opportunity to fully embrace rest

  • Reflection & Integration – Find clarity on what truly matters, what you're ready to release, and how you want to move forward.

  • Supportive group energy that honours your individuality, boundaries, and need for solitude or connection

  • A spacious rhythm with plenty of time to rest, wander, reflect, and simply be

There’s a moment—maybe you’ve felt it—when the world around you is moving too fast and you realize you’ve been holding your breath for far too long. You’ve been tending to everything and everyone, stretching yourself thin, living in a rhythm that no longer feels like your own.

And then something inside whispers: stop.

Not forever. Just long enough to come back to yourself.

This retreat is that pause.
A place where time slows down.
Where the mornings begin in silence, with soft light and the sound of birds.
Where your body can stretch and soften without needing to perform.
Where meals are simple, nourishing, and shared without rush.

Days unfold gently, with no plans to keep up with, just choices. Maybe you’ll journal under the oak tree. Or wander through a village. Or simply lie in the sun and do nothing at all.

Evenings bring you back to stillness. A quiet chapel. Gazing at the moonlit sky. A gentle voice guiding you into deep rest.

By the end of the week, something has shifted. You’re breathing deeper. Your shoulders have dropped. And in that sacred space you carved for yourself, clarity has emerged—about what you’re ready to release, what truly nourishes you, and what kind of life you want to return to.

You’ll leave not with a checklist, but with a feeling.
Of lightness. Of calm. Of home within.

And that is more than a retreat. That is a return.

Who Is This Retreat For?

This retreat is for anyone—men and women—seeking a break from busyness and a return to simplicity, presence, and ease.

✔️ You long for deep rest and a slower rhythm.
✔️ You want time to reflect, recharge, and be.
✔️ You love the idea of a retreat without rigid schedules—where you can choose to rest or explore.

About Your Host – Catja

I'm Catja—founder of Sal-Me.

My work weaves together soft yoga, meditation, somatic practices, women’s circles, and more as a path to transformation. At the heart of it all is a wish to create safe spaces where women can slow down, reconnect with their bodies, and find their own rhythm again—away from constant demands and expectations.

Through my own life experience, I know how much energy it takes to keep everything going, and how important it is to have spaces where you don’t have to hold it all together. Where you can arrive as you are, move at your own pace, and simply be supported.

I look forward to welcoming you—to this land, this rhythm, and this gentle way of being together.

I speak Danish, French, and English, and am happy to adapt the language to the need of the group.

Testimonials

"The experience was magical. The place is perfect for getting some head space and healing. I would highly recommend to friends and colleagues. I leave the retreat feeling very privileged to have been able to share this amazing space with these lovely people. It has touched my heart. The food has been fantastic, Dieke is a magician with food, the snickers and chocolate cake are to die for! And all gluten and dairy free. Thank you Catja (and Etienne)."

"I recently attended the yoga retreat at la Commanderie in the state of France and it was exactly what I needed. After finishing the Camino de Santiago, I was looking for a place to rest, reflect and ease into a life transition I’m moving through. This retreat provided the perfect sanctuary. The theme/focus on embodied movement and calming the nervous system was restorative. Catja, our host, is a loving and nurturing soul and she created a space that felt safe. I loved the balance between activities and free time and the food was nourishing and delicious. Everything was prepared with such care and love – making sure everyone’s dietary needs were taken care of. I’m grateful for the peace, reflections and connection I found here."

-Julie Owen

"La Commanderie is amazing! The physical grounds and buildings wrap all activities in a kind of peace and wonder. Catja (and Etienne) create such a lovely open space that every one of the members of our group when I was there found deep connection – both within ourselves and with each other… If you are looking to find a way (back) to your most authentic self, I highly recommend this retreat, especially for women!"
